A Santa Rosa woman is in custody this morning after a brazen bank robbery led to a swift arrest yesterday.
Police say 32-year-old Jane Hollingworth entered the Chase Bank on Sonoma Avenue, handing a teller a note that demanded cash and threatened to kill people.
While she managed to walk away with an undisclosed amount of money, her getaway didn’t last long thanks to a very distinct look. Officers began searching the area for a woman with bright blue hair and a leopard print jacket, and they found her just an hour later inside the Montgomery Village Post Office.
Hollingworth was arrested without incident and booked for robbery.
Police are credit the “keen observation” of patrol officers for getting her off the streets so quickly.
