A group of people caught trying to rob a cannabis dispensary in Santa Rosa are still on the loose. Police eventually lost all four vehicles they were chasing in the darkness and fog on Monday morning. One was disabled by a spike strip, but the two people inside ran away and haven’t been found. Another vehicle ran out of gas but the people inside were picked up by another suspect. Prior to the chase, one of the four vehicles knocked down the gates to the dispensary, allowing everyone to drive in. The suspects started getting out and approaching the business, but were scared off by an armed security guard. Speeds reached about 100-miles-per-hour during the chase on Highway 101. If it hadn’t been foiled, it would have been the ninth known burglary or armed robbery of a cannabis dispensary in Sonoma County since early December.
