Governor Newsom Calms State After Silicon Valley Bank Collapse

Governor Gavin Newsom says action on Silicon Valley Bank is having a positive impact on California. He reacted to the collapse last week when regulators seized all deposits. The Treasury Department instructed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation yesterday to guarantee customers will have access to all of their money starting today. Newsom says this will ensure small businesses can make payroll, affordable housing projects will be able to continue construction, and non-profits can keep their doors open.
