An inmate who escaped Sonoma County Jail will be sentenced on April 24th. The man from Petaluma, who escaped on January 3rd, is facing up to three years in prison. The man pleaded no contest to an escape charge on March 27th, as part of a plea deal with prosecutors. He also pleaded no contest to a vehicle theft charge. The man escaped while he was working as part of a jail kitchen crew. He left through a back door used for food shipments. He was found and arrested at an apartment complex in Petaluma two days later.
