Two-hundred-and-seventy counterfeit handbags were found at homes in Rohnert Park and Cotati. Authorities both local and federal held a month long investigation which led them to the two residences of Melanie Strong in Rohnert Park and Sabrina Darakhshan of Cotati. The illegally trademarked pieces of merchandise suggested retail price of over $1,000,000. The counterfeit designer brands included Luis Vuitton, Gucci, Christian Dior, MGM and others. Strong and Darakhshan were arrested for trademark infringement and counterfeit goods and criminal conspiracy.
