In this episode of The Good Stuff presented by the Sonoma County Winegrowers, hosts Virginie Boone and Karissa Kruse talk with Scott Beattie, author of Artisinal Cocktails. Scott shares the details of how he got interested in using fresh ingredients in cocktails and using chef techniques to create truly delicious drinks. We learn about his background working at Cyrus, and where he is currently creating delicious beverages at Barn Diva. You can learn to create cocktails with fresh ingredients by taking a class at Barn Diva! In the final minutes of the show, Scott wows us by whipping up three amazing cocktails. At the Table – Wind and Rye Kitchen
Host Clark Wolf talks with Laci Sandoval, founder and owner of Wind and Rye Kitchen, a cooking school and event venue in Penngrove. Laci shares her path to creating this inviting space where students get a chance to do hands on cooking, and a rotating cast of chefs and bakers teach curious students in all sorts of cooking techniques. One of the frequent chef instructors is Daniel Kedan, formerly of the beloved Backyard Restaurant in Forestville. Chef Kedan now teaches at the Culinary Institute of America, and he talks with Clark about his upcoming courses at Wind and Rye.
Laci is also hosting a Bakery Day on Saturday, December 16th from noon until 4pm, or until the goods are sold out.

Sonoma County Focus – 2023 YWCA Holiday Gift Drive
Host Michelle Marques talks with Madeleine Keegan O'Connell, CEO of YWCA Sonoma County about their Gift and Toy Drive for the 2023 holiday season. The YWCA Sonoma County helps provide quality childcare & trauma informed counseling along with support for families impacted by domestic violence. Your donation of new toys, gift cards, new coats, journals, and art supplies can be dropped off at the YWCA office in downtown Santa Rosa at 811 3rd Street, Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. Deadline for donations is December 15th!
