Ask the Expert: Dr. Walter Tom – Lips and Chin Area

aesthetic

Dr. Walter Tom of Aesthetic Laser and Centers talks with Robin Berardini about the different treatments that can be used to improve the appearance of the lips, chin, and mouth area. As we ditch those masks, more people are concerned about the appearance of the lips and chin. Dr. Tom describes the different treatments that can give the mouth area a more youthful, healthy appearance, including the use of fillers to plump up the lips, filler to boost the area around the lips, and Botox to relax the muscles around the mouth and chin to bring the corners of the mouth back up. As Dr. Tom says, turn that frown upside down!

Community Conversations on Race – Analy Guido on Mental Health

capconversationsonrace

Host Michelle Marques talks with Analy Guido, Family Support Lead Coordinator at Community Action Partnership Sonoma County. Analy shares her personal experiences learning about the importance of mental health care, as well as her role at CAP Sonoma helping families access counseling and other mental health services. She says that this can often be surrounded by stigma, especially in Latinx communities who do not traditionally seek out mental health services. In her experience, she has seen a rise in depression and anxiety among both children and adults during the pandemic.

Analy will lead the first Community Conversations on Race that is only in Spanish and produced for our Spanish-speaking community on May 23rd. This will be the first in a series of conversations entirely in Spanish. To learn more, click here.
