Community Conversations on Race – Rocio Rodriguez, Director of COAD
Host Michelle Marques talks with Rocio Rodriguez, Director of Sonoma County's Community Organizations Active in Disasters. Rocio shares her experience as a woman of color moving from Texas to California.
She is also a member of the Advisory Redistricting Commission, and worked with other members on the commission to redraw districts with a focus on keeping communities together and making sure to give communities who had previously been sidelined, a voice. The Board of Supervisors will consider public input prior to their December 7th meeting. A final map must be approved by the December 15h deadline. Email your thoughts to the Board by sending a message to redistricting2021@sonoma-county.org
