Fire Ready North Bay – Fire Safe Sonoma

Host Michelle Marques talks with Adam Iveson, co-founder of Ember Defense and Roberta MacIntyre, President and CEO of Fire Safe Sonoma. Fire Safe Sonoma is a countywide fire safe council. Fire safe councils are grassroots community-based organizations in California that share the objective of making communities less vulnerable to catastrophic wildfire. Fire safe councils accomplish this objective through education programs and projects such as shaded fuel breaks or firebreaks to protect area residents against an oncoming wildfire and to provide firefighters with a place to fight the oncoming fire.

Formed in 1995, Fire Safe Sonoma is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with 9 diverse board members whose mission is to increase awareness of wild land fire issues in our county.

Black can be elegant and warmed up with light wood tones and gold accents. Another trend in design is lots of texture in the form of wood, woven items, and lots of wicker. And finally, Kelly shares a design trend called Japandi - a combination of Japanese and Scandinavian style, with lots of clean lines and minimalism.

On the Wine Road LIVE – La Dolce Vita Wine Lounge

onthewineroadlivejeffdavisksro

Host Jeff Davis talks with Sahar Gharai, owner of La Dolce Vita Wine Lounge in Petaluma. Sahar opened her wine lounge in 2007 in the new theater district in downtown Petaluma. She envisioned a place similar to the wine bars or enotecas that she visited while living in Florence, Italy. Customers can enjoy wine flights, wine by the glass, and bottles of wine, along with homemade soups, salads, pizzas, sandwiches, hummus, desserts, and charcuterie plates. Sahar loves to feature her favorite Italian wines, but you can definitely find all kinds of imported wines, as well as local wines on the menu. And La Dolce Vita Wine Lounge also sells bottles to take home.
