Sonoma County Focus – 2024 Farm Trails Fall Tour

Host Michelle Marques talks with Ellen Cavalli, Program Manager at Sonoma County Farm Trails about the upcoming Weekend Along the Farm Trails - Fall Tour, Saturday and Sunday, October 12th and 13th, 2024. Registration is FREE but required. And you will be amazed by the interactive map that you get upon registration, helping you to customize your visit along Farm Trails. There are tours, tastings, and educational activities! You can pick pumpkins, veggies, and flowers! Bring a tote bag and a cooler so you can buy treasures to take home with you! Meet animals, learn about beekeeping, cheesemaking, and soap making! There's also a pumpkin trebuchet (think massive slingshot for gourds - lol)! And most important of all, meet the amazing farmers and ranchers of Sonoma County, and support their hard work.

In this episode of The Good Stuff presented by the Sonoma County Winegrowers, hosts Virginie Boone and Karissa Kruse talk with David and Alan Ramey, father and son duo from Ramey Wine Cellars. David started Ramey Wine Cellars in 1996 after going to France to learn during a harvest season, and working for Simi and Matanzas for a while. Alan and his sister Claire joined the family business in 2013, and became co-presidents in 2021. The strong core of long-time employees makes this transition to the next generation an easy one. And finally, Virginie, Karissa, David, and Alan share their Tuesday Night wine picks.

During this episode of ROCK’nVINO, hosts Coco and Michelle talk with Ned Lawton, Founder and Cidermaker at Ethic Ciders. Ned and his family decided to buy property in Sebastopol about 10 years ago, that had an apple orchard. They had children from their preschool in San Francisco come to the property to learn about farms. They decided to make cider with the juice, and have been making it for about 7 years. You can visit their property on Occidental Road in Sebastopol for tastings and education. They will be part of the Farm Trails Farm Tour on October 13th.
