The Good Stuff – Valley Ford Cheese and Creamery

In this episode of The Good Stuff presented by the Sonoma County Winegrowers, hosts Virginie Boone and Karissa Kruse talk with Karen Bianchi-Moreda, owner of Valley Ford Cheese and Creamery. Karen talks about her family history and legacy of cattle and dairy ranching in Sonoma County, stretching back nearly 100 years. She works with her son Joe to collaborate on their business, each finding their strengths in different aspects of the company. You can visit their café/cheese shop in the charming town of Valley Ford to get delicious meals, cheeses, and yummy Jersey Milk Soft Serve (YES PLEASE) as well as see the cheeses aging in the back of the facility. And finally, Virginie and Karissa share their Tuesday Night wine and cheese picks.

ROCK’nVINO – Live at Juilliard, Bryce Dow-Williamson

During this episode of ROCK’nVINO, hosts Coco and Michelle talk with Bryce Dow-Williamson, Art & Event Consultant, Planning and Economic Department for the City of Santa Rosa. What does that title mean? It means that Bryce makes cool things happen in Santa Rosa, like the Live at Juilliard concert series. There is one more free show left this season, on Sunday, August 18th from 5pm to 7pm. The Pulsators will be the final band performing in this summer's collection of shows at Juilliard Park. These family friendly shows also have beer and wine available for sale, with proceeds benefitting Sonoma County Pride, as well as a food truck on site. You can BYOB and bring a picnic if you like, as well as chairs or blankets to spread out and enjoy the show. Bryce also works on other art and culture events in Santa Rosa, including art shows at the Finley Center, the Railroad Square Music Festival, and shows at The Lost Church.

Sonoma County Focus – 2024 All Hallows Art Fest

Host Michelle Marques talks with Sharon Bloom, one of the artists participating in the 2024 All Hallows Art Fest in Petaluma on Saturday, September 28th. This juried art show is filled with Halloween-themed artwork from 30 to 35 different artists from around the country. Collectors arrive hours in advance to get first pick at the handcrafted pieces. The show is hosted at Hermann Sons Hall on Western Avenue in Petaluma, and it is as much as character in the show as the art itself. Admission is $5 and the show is open from 9am to 3pm.
