The Good Stuff – Gail Dutton and Mel Sanchietti
In this episode of The Good Stuff presented by the Sonoma County Winegrowers, hosts Virginie Boone and Karissa Kruse talk with Gail Dutton, matriarch of the Dutton family, and Mel Sanchietti, third generation farmer. Gail and her husband Warren met Mel as young farmers and formed a lifelong friendship. We hear stories of what farming was like in the 1960s (lots of French Prunes!) and how each family transitioned to grapes. Mel had a 35-year career with Korbel Winery as vice president of vineyard operations, and his son Mark is caring on the Sanchietti farming tradition. Gail's sons and grandchildren continue the farming legacy with Dutton Ranch, Dutton Estate and Dutton-Goldfield. And finally, Virginie and Karissa share their Tuesday Night wine picks.

Sonoma County Focus – Redwood Empire Food Bank – Urgent Call for Donations

Host Michelle Marques talks with David Goodman, Hunger Relief Worker and CEO of the Redwood Empire Food Bank. Normally, the holiday season is the time of year that REFB collects the largest amount of donations during the entire year, but unfortunately, this year donations are down by $1-million dollars. This is devastating and could result in two unthinkable choices: give everyone less food, or turn people away. Don't wait! Please donate money, food, and volunteer your time to help the food bank. Learn more by going to refb.org.
At the Table – The Redwood
Host Clark Wolf talks with Geneva Melby and Ryan Miller of The Redwood, an extraordinarily good natural wine bar in Sebastopol. Alum of Ramen Gaijin and Khom Loi, the pair focus on a small menu filled with simple, extremely delicious dishes like their ethereal fried potatoes with pimenton aoli, little gem salad with pickled celery and seeds, and braised lamb shank. The wine menu is also short but filled with food friendly choices that pair perfectly with the food options. They also host events and special dinners, and can cater your next gathering.
