Santa Rosa Junior College President Frank Chong is receiving a vote of no confidence from the school’s Academic Senate. The 26-member body late Wednesday also voted to urge the Board of Trustees to put Chong on probation for one year, but rejected demands to have him fired. Chong yesterday reacted to the vote, saying it was a “real humbling experience.” The vote of no confidence comes days after Chong actually reversed his previous decision to cut about half of all summer classes in an effort to help fill a budget deficit of over six-million dollars.
