PG&E is agreeing to pay for nine more North Bay wildfire-watching cameras to help reduce response times. A spokesperson said yesterday the utility is working to have the cameras installed around Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties by the end of the year. In addition to helping first responders, the cameras also will help PG&E gather data to reduce wildfire threats. Cal Fire has blamed PG&E equipment for starting as many as 16 fires across Northern California.
