It was a meeting filled with anger and hope, as the residents of Homeless Hill and neighbors near the largest homeless emcampment in Santa Rosa came together to talk about a cleanup. About 200 community members and homeless advocates joined city leaders to talk about clearing out Homeless Hill. No date for the clearing has been set, but the city plans to place the estimated 50 homeless people in one of several housing options. Until they’re placed in permanent housing, individuals will work with a team of people trained to get them into housing.
