The Bay Area continues to lead California with the state’s lowest unemployment rates.  The six lowest jobless rates for August are all in Bay Area counties with San Mateo’s three-point-four percent the lowest.  Marin County is second, followed by San Francisco, Santa Clara, Napa, and Sonoma.  Alameda County at four-point-four percent and Contra Costa at four-point-five are both below the state’s five-point-four percent unemployment rate.  Only Solano County, at five-point-five percent, is higher than the state average.
