Sonoma County has already held a series of workshops to help local Dreamers renew: now, illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children have until today to re-register for protection in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program: it’s set to expire in a few months without Congressional action. 800-thousand people nationwide covered by DACA are eligible to reapply to keep protection through at least March 5th. Applications can be completed online with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
