The firestorms that killed 43 people and destroyed nearly nine-thousand homes and businesses also melted underground plastic storm drains.  That’s raising the threat of ground collapsing or sliding as storms blow through this week. Officials say rain expected over the next few days could lead to flooding, landslides and sinkholes in the Fountaingrove area. City officials are asking residents in the Fountaingrove area to be ready for another possible evacuation this week.
