More people in California signed up for health insurance through Covered California.
Covered California spokesman James Scullary said among those who received financial assistance, 15-percent of new consumers selected a Gold plan, up from the four-percent who chose the same plan last year. A selection of bronze plans increased from 29-percent to 31-percent.
