An investigation is ongoing into a fire at an industrial building in southwest Santa Rosa. Firefighters responded to the blaze Saturday afternoon at a building near the Recology Sonoma Marin facility on Standish Avenue near West Robles Avenue. Police say the building housed companies that perform plumbing, heating, metal fabrication and woodworking services. The fire sent dark plumes of smoke into the air above southwest Santa Rosa.
Santa Rosa and Rincon Valley Fire Department’s joined forces to eliminate the blaze. Investigators are looking into what caused the blaze.
