INTERVIEW: The California HOPE Program is Available for Counseling in the Wake of the Continuing State Wide Fires

Megan Karlock and Jennifer Olson, counselors at California HOPE, describe how they’re funded so their services can continue to be free to the community, things we can do for ourselves for self care as the fires continue to burn around the state, they share the 3-6 breathing exercise that you can do anytime and what it does for your physical state, what they individually do when they have anxiety, and how you can contact their offices:

California HOPE counselors specialize in helping survivors understand their current reactions, reduce stress, receive emotional support, prioritize needs and solve problems, choose coping strategies, and connect with people and agencies who can help.
