The California Secretary of State’s office is investigating whether any close elections were impacted by motor-voter registration errors. The DMV has admitted it failed to forward 589 registrations to the Secretary’s office by last November’s deadline. It’s not known how many of those registrants tried to vote and were turned away or had their provisional ballot rejected, but Secretary of State Alex Padilla says he will make sure every legitimate vote was counted. His office has 60-days to complete the investigation.
