Santa Rosa city leaders are working to get more homeless programs up and running. The council directed staff last week, to draw up plans to spend nearly half-a-million dollars more this year on new and expanded homelessness programs. A large chunk of that money will go towards cleaning up homeless encampments and more money will boost patrols and help to get rid of abandoned cars around town. And the city of Rohnert Park is considering adding 450-thousand dollars more toward their homeless issues.
