California Governor Gavin Newsom returned to Sonoma County Wednesday, visiting with evacuees and those grappling with the aftereffects of the Kincade Fire. Newsom, along with all of the state representatives including Assemblyman Jim Wood, Senator Mike McGuire, and Assemblyman Marc Levine were on hand to meet with evacuees, hear their stories, and hand out food provided by the Redwood Empire Food Bank.
The collaborative effort was launched by the food ban, in partnership with other corporate donors to provide food for those impacted by natural disaster, including Sonoma County’s Kincade Fire. After meeting with evacuees and representatives of the food bank, Newsom handed out apples to children and met with families before making remarks to the gathered crowd about the future recovery effort after the fire threat has passed
