KSRO’s Michelle Marques talks with Dr. Sundari Mase, Sonoma County Health Officer about the new blanket health order regarding those who test positive for COVID-19, and how it impacts those who have been in contact with someone who tests positive. Dr. Mase also talks about the facial covering guidelines, and indicates that new orders are likely coming regarding facial coverings. Sonoma County saw a dip in active cases as well as no new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, April 11. Dr. Mase viewed this as a good sign that the shelter-in-place orders are being followed and that community spread may be slowing. She does warn that we will need to see sustained lower numbers in new and active cases before any shelter-in-place orders are modified.
