You could get fined if you don’t wear a mask in Napa County. The Board of Supervisors approved an urgency ordinance this week that authorizes citations ranging from $25 to $500 for individuals and from $200 to a maximum of $5,000 for businesses. However, county officials say education will be the first approach and written warnings will be issued after that. The county’s Code Compliance Division will enforce it, rather than police or sheriff’s deputies. County officials also say it will be driven by complaints rather than patrolling mask police.
