The superintendent of Santa Rosa City Schools is recommending online learning only to start the school year. With the first day of school on August 17th, Superintendent Diann Kitamura sent a notice yesterday to families of the district announcing that she would make the recommendation. The recommendation will be formal when the school board makes a final vote on July 22nd. Officials agreed to a tentative plan on Tuesday to provide three options of learning for students when school starts. Santa Rosa City Schools has 16,000 students and is the largest school district in Sonoma County.
