California’s COVID-19 positivity rate is the lowest it’s been in four months. Governor Gavin Newsom announced the two-point-one-percent positivity rate yesterday. He also said the hospitalizations are down 41 percent, and ICU rates are down 43 percent. Newsom noted the state has administered nearly ten-million vaccines.
As for Sonoma County itself, our testing positivity is 3.5 percent with Covid hospitalizations at 18. At the height of the pandemic in Early January, our testing positivity rate was at 9.8 percent and our Covid hospitalizations topped out at 104.
