California’s public transit employees will be eligible for their coronavirus shots this coming Monday. On Thursday night, state health officials expanded their list of people becoming eligible next week. It now includes public transit workers, and people living in “high-risk congregate settings.” But, bus and train operators might not be able to get appointments for weeks. Millions more Californians become eligible Monday, including those with pre-existing conditions. The state’s supply of doses is improving, but remains limited, meaning thousands of people already eligible for several weeks are still waiting, causing a backlog.
