California Expands Vaccine Eligibility on April 1st

With vaccine supplies expected to increase, California is expanding who can get a coronavirus shot starting April 1st.  Those 50 and older may schedule appointments beginning on that date. Governor Gavin Newsom says the state will also now give shots to family members who accompany an eligible person to their appointment. Based on the current estimates, California expects to be allocated approximately two-point-five million first and second doses per week in the first half of April, and more than three million doses in the second half of April.
