Sonoma County says it could see a dip in coronavirus vaccine supplies. Dr. Urmila Shende, Sonoma County’s COVID-19 Vaccination Chief, says that the county could see a potential 20-percent drop in vaccine supply over the next few weeks. Supervisor Lynda Hopkins wrote a letter to state officials yesterday asking for more doses to be sent to the county. This comes as the county announced yesterday that it has now vaccinated 25-percent of its residents who are 16 and older.
Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told ABC7 that equity is at the center of the country’s vaccine distribution strategy. She explained the White House is trying to make it as easy as possible for every American and Californian to get the vaccine. Psaki asserts that more vaccines are coming to California.
