Sonoma County Jail Bringing In-Person Visits Back

jail-bars

In-person visits to the Sonoma County Jail will be allowed again beginning this Saturday but with limitations. Anyone who wants to visit inmates will have to make reservations ahead of time on Thursdays and Fridays between 9 AM to 3 PM. Visits will be scheduled for every day of the week except for Friday and the jail will cap daily visits at 132. Inmates will be allowed one visit each calendar month of up to two people. The jail has been closed to in-person visits since the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020. It also comes after several inmates participated in at least two hunger strikes in the past four months demanding, among other things, the return of in-person visits.
