More details have been released on the series of small brush fires that broke out near Healdsburg. Officials said yesterday that it had counted 14 or 15 separate fires that sparked within a three-hour period Monday night. The first fire was reported off of Bailhache Avenue near Rio Lindo Academy, but most of the fires occurred on the westside of Highway 101. All of the fires were contained by 11:30pm Monday night. While State Senator Mike McGuire initially called the fires suspicious on Twitter, the investigation into the fires is ongoing. No injuries or damage was reported.

Cal Fire Division Chief for Sonoma, Lake, and Napa Counties, Ben Nicholls, spoke with KSRO’s Michelle Marques Wednesday morning on the latest regarding these fires.
