Two additional cases of the COVID omicron variant were confirmed in California yesterday. Health officials in Los Angeles County say one patient is a college student who recently traveled to the East Coast, while the other patient just came back from a trip to West Africa. There are now nine confirmed cases of the variant in the state. Six have been detected in the Bay Area, while the other three have been found in LA County.
