A housing project for veterans has opened in Windsor. The Windsor Veterans Village at 9500 Oak Park Street had their grand opening showcasing 60 units for military veterans and their families including formerly homeless, disabled, and low-income veterans. Veterans residing there will receive case management, counseling, and trauma-informed care. Benefits counseling, mental health care, physical health care, and substance abuse counseling are also available on-site or at nearby VA clinics. Eligibility for the Windsor Veterans Village is capped at up to 50-percent of the county’s median income, which equates to $40,750 for an individual or $58,150 for a family of four.
