Santa Rosa police have arrested a Rohnert Park man accused of possessing illegal firearms and narcotics trafficking. The Police Department’s Property Crime Investigations Team were alerted in September that Daniel Solorio was involved in these illegal ventures. After months of investigation, officers arrested Solorio in a local business on Rohnert Park Expressway. Solorio was in possession of a loaded and fully automatic Polymer 80 “ghost gun” with a high-capacity magazine. Officers also served two search warrants simultaneously. In Solorio’s home on the 1000-block of Golf Course Drive, which is next to Marguerite Hahn Elementary School, officers found cocaine, evidence of narcotics sales, significant amounts of ammunition, a commercial-grade money counter, high-capacity magazines, and several other illegal firearms. A records check revealed one firearm in his possession was stolen, while other firearms met definitions of illegal assault rifles and short barreled rifles.
