A coalition of local health advocates are distributing 120-thousand rapid tests to disadvantaged Latino and low-income families in Sonoma County. Press Democrat reports that the tests are professional grade and cost about $25 for a two-test kit. These antigen tests, coming from the state department of public health, can be used at home and produce test results in 15 to 30 minutes. Key partners distributing the rapid tests include West County Health Centers, IsoCare Network, CURA Project, and the Healthcare Foundation. On the distribution front, they include several churches as well as the Redwood Empire Food Bank, Comida Para Todos, the Graton Day Labor Center, Petaluma People Services and River to Coast Child Services.
