West County High School students continue to express their concerns over the plans to change the school’s name back to Analy High School. Last Wednesday, about 90 students held a second walkout in six weeks demanding that the West Sonoma County Union High School District board considers another name that combines the former El Molino and Analy schools. The students gathered in the Sebastopol Town Plaza holding signs while socially distancing. The protest came after the school board did not put the subject of rebranding on its agenda for this Wednesday’s meeting. The board had previously stated it would find a new name for the former Analy campus and that West County High was a temporary name. However, they have since gone back to the old name after the Analy Alumni Association threatened “to pull funds and donations.”
