Sonoma county is shifting it’s coronavirus focus from mandates to personal responsibility. County health officials are making this shift as part of a part of a “new normal” with the aim of limiting covid spread among essential workers, racial and ethnic minorities and seniors. The county lifted it’s restrictions on large indoor gatherings on Friday and are expected to adjust its indoor mask mandate to just the unvaccinated this week. These moves come as active cases continue to decline now under 11-thousand. However, two more covid-related deaths were reported over the weekend bringing pandemic total for Sonoma County to 461.
