Three members of the San Francisco school board have been recalled by a landslide of parents angry about school closures during the pandemic. The San Francisco Chronicle says over 70-percent of parents voted to recall school board president Gabriela Lopez and two board members on Tuesday. Parents were reportedly angry that the board members focused on renaming public schools last year instead of reopening them. Some were also angry that the school board abolished a requirement based on grades and test scores for its most prestigious high school, and replaced it with a lottery system.
