The Sierra Nevada Mountains have ended a winter record, getting snow for the first time in 37 days. UC Berkeley’s Snow Lab says it’s the longest streak on record for the season. The National Weather Service says the snowpack in Northern California has gone from 130-percent of average at the start of the year, to just 75-percent of average here in the middle of February, increasing the state’s drought conditions.
