It’s still unclear what or who caused a fire that badly damaged a Rite Aid store in west Santa Rosa. The fire, which broke out early yesterday morning at the store on Stony Point Road, did an estimated 200-thousand-dollars in damage. Investigators found a pile of wood pallets and other debris burning against the back corner of the store, but the official cause is still undetermined. The intensity of the fire shattered windows and glass doors, before flames moved into the storage area at the back of the building. There was also a brief but intense natural gas fire, before crews shut the building’s gas supply off. The Rite Aid was closed at the time of the fire and no one was found inside.
