Teachers in the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District are expected to hit the picket lines this morning. Today is their planned strike day, following a nearly year-long dispute between their union and the district over wages. It will be the largest teachers’ strike in Sonoma County in five years. The Rohnert Park Cotati Educators Association has not formally negotiated with the district since talks fell apart last Friday. The strike will impact nearly six-thousand students.
