California Gas Prices Are the Most Expensive in the Nation

California continues to lead the nation for highest average price at the pump. State transportation officials reported that the average price for a gallon of unleaded stood at $5.90 on Thursday, down about a penny from the day before. The cheapest gas in Santa Rosa is at Costco, where a gallon of unleaded is going for $5.55.

The national average stood at just under $4.23. Motorists in Missouri reportedly enjoy the lowest average prices. Motorists in the Show Me State were paying an average of just $3.77 at the pump.
