A licensed naturopathic doctor from Napa has pleaded guilty to selling more than 200 fake COVID-19 vaccination cards. The cards made it look like Juli Mazi’s customers had taken the Moderna vaccine. Mazi also pleaded guilty to selling fake COVID-19 immunization pellets that she claimed would offer lifelong protection from the virus. The U.S. Department of Justice says this was the first federal criminal fraud prosecution connected with phony coronavirus vaccination cards. She faces up to 20 years in prison for wire fraud charges, and 5 years for a false statements charge. Mazi’s sentencing is set for July 29th.
