Two helicopters, including Henry-1 from the Sonoma Sheriff’s office, rescued a stranded hiker on Mount Tamalpais. A hiker sustained a traumatic injury Saturday afternoon while hiking on the mountain’s east side. CHP’s H30 Helicopter had to offload their paramedic to the hiker as the helicopter couldn’t land in the terrain. Henry-1 was then called in to conduct a long line rescue and managed to fly the hiker to the parking lot located on top of Mount Tamalpais. The hiker was then transferred to a ground ambulance and later taken to a local hospital. No word on their condition.
