Fentanyl is becoming more prevalent in Sonoma County. New data reveals that 70-percent of overdose deaths have been linked to the dangerous drug since 2017. The county saw a spike of fentanyl-related deaths in 2020. Counseling supervisor at Santa Rosa Treatment Program Jesse Collins told The Press Democrat that 98-percent of their patients have sought out treatment for fentanyl use over the last two-and-a-half years.
