The president of the Cloverdale Unified School Board is speaking out after a last-day-of-school fight put four middle school students in handcuffs and one in the hospital. A video of the June 9th fight at Washington School shows two eighth-grade girls fighting, before one of the girls is knocked to the ground and kicked in the head by at least three other students. School Board President Jacque Garrison says students conduct has changed everywhere since the pandemic started. She also claims fights at Washington School have not increased, which goes against what many parents said during last week’s board meeting. And, Garrison says there’s been “an increase in emotional behavior, outbursts and conflict” since in-person classes started back up last August.
