The Santa Rosa Fire Department wants residents to beware of a new text scam. People have been getting texts offering ten-dollar discounts on fire department shirts. There’s one problem, though. The Santa Rosa Fire Department doesn’t sell its shirts to the public. The texts are coming from a phone number with a North Carolina area code. The messages also include a link to a website. Someone was posing as the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety in another phone scam earlier this week.
