A Sonoma Valley woman is being given a reward for her philanthropic efforts. Last month, Katherine Fulton received the 2022 Willoughby Award from women’s philanthropy collective Philanos during an online ceremony. Fulton, who is 67-years-old, was recognized for forming the Sonoma Valley Catalyst Fund at the beginning of the pandemic. The fund raised over $1.6 million dollars for Sonoma Valley nonprofits during the pandemic, and has since merged with Sonoma Valley Fund to address other needs. Philanos was founded in 2009 and is an international network for more than 80 collective women-led giving and grant making groups in 27 states, the District of Columbia, Australia and England.
